Join us at Forty Weeks for the prestigious International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) training program, designed to equip participants with the skills needed to teach parents how to massage their babies. As an officially recognized part of the global network, our training courses uphold the IAIM mission to promote nurturing touch and communication. Our goal is to ensure that parents, caregivers, and children feel loved, valued, and respected across the world.

Program Overview

The IAIM training provides a comprehensive mix of theory, communication skills, and practical teaching experiences. Trainees engage in:

• Interactive Theoretical Learning: Dive into the latest research on infant mental health, bonding, and attachment.

• Hands-on Practice: Apply learning in group settings and one-on-one parent-baby interactions.

• Communication Skills Development: Enhance your ability to instruct and connect with parents effectively.

Training Led by Experts

Led by Kirsty Hawthorn, a CIMI since 2000 and Trainer since 2005, our program adheres closely to a code of practice that incorporates the latest global standards and best practices. Kirsty played a pivitol role in founding Baby Massage Ireland, a non-profit organization that supports new instructors and parents.

Certification and Benefits

After completing the four-day course, trainees undergo an open-book examination, combining theory and practical assessments, to be completed within four months as per IAIM guidelines. Successful graduates become Certified Infant Massage Instructors (CIMI) and can join the IAIM community in their respective countries.

• Mitchelstown, March 9th-12th, Co Cork

• Portlaoise, May 25th- 28th, Co Laois

• Ennis, September 15th-18th, Co Clare

• In-house training available on request.

• Cost: €810 (includes tuition, all course materials, healthy teas and snacks, exam fees, certification, and student membership with Baby Massage Ireland until qualification).

• Additional Costs: Professional demonstration doll available for an additional €75.
