Living Yoga

Living yoga (Hatha yoga) is much more than a stretch on the mat,  although this is a strong element and benefit of the practice. Living  yoga allows us to connect with and drop into the space within us where a  very deep peace and relaxation is found. The space of awareness that is  always with us but not always remembered to be so.

Through the specific techniques and principles taught in a  Living  Yoga class and a dedicated practice you will find your way to a more  constant level of acceptance and flow in your life, a renewal of the joy  and a gratitude for challenges rather than intense anxieties.

Postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), guided relaxations and  actively working the 4 principles of hatha yoga on the mat allows us to  bring it to our everyday lives off the mat.

You don’t need to be super flexible, spiritual, thin or peaceful to  reap the benefits that yoga brings! Just a willingness of heart to  experience the technology of yoga which leads you to ultimate well  being.

All levels welcome.

Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga and Baby Yoga

Forty Weeks yoga for pregnancy is accessible to all women,

whether you are a dedicated yoga practitioner or new to the idea.

Please see below for class schedules and booking…

Yoga is increasingly recommended to pregnant women because it is a  gentle way of maintaining or gaining fitness while reducing anxiety with  breathing and relaxation techniques. As a midwife, my aim and intention  in the classes are to prepare you in body and mind for the birth of  your baby. I focus on back relaxers, hip openers, positions for optimal  foetal positioning, pelvic floor (toning and relaxing) and most of all,  deep relaxations.

My personal experience of Yoga is far beyond the postures and enables  us to access a place of deep relaxation and awareness through a  combination of postures, movement and breath work.

These classes are about honouring our space as women in one of the  most significant cycles of womanhood and it extends with the same  philosophy into the postnatal period with classes that tone, heal and  rejuvenate body and mind.

And of course, there are the baby yoga classes, which is a wonderful addition to your time getting to know each other.
